What types are there and which one should I choose?
These clever little devices or (in the case of other types of diffusers) simple constructions release fragrances into the air without the use of heat or combustion. However, this is only their most basic feature. There are several solutions within combustion-free vaporization. Let's see what types we know!
COLD AND REED EVAPORATORS
These are the simplest and most budget-friendly solutions. These are perhaps the most suitable tools for beginner fragrance lovers. They are easy to use and with their versatility, they can introduce anyone to the world of essential oils and space perfumes.
Cold vaporizers are those (mostly simple) porous surface trays on which you simply drop the aromas. The porous surface absorbs the oil, which gradually evaporates from there. The so-called reed vaporizer works in a similarly simple and hands-free way. This is usually a small, shaped bottle containing essential oil, with thin (reed) sticks protruding from its narrow mouth. The oil rises inside the sticks and gradually evaporates at the top, at the “dry” end of the sticks. Our reed diffusers by clicking here you can view it.
Since the essential oils used for cold and reed diffusers are alcohol-free, they evaporate for a long time and do not disappear immediately, so we can enjoy the aromas they carry in the air of our interiors for a long time. Another great advantage of this type of diffusers is that they are silent, safe and do not require electrical energy. Their only disadvantage is that the release of fragrances into the air cannot really be controlled. Nevertheless, when used in suitable (not too large) rooms, they are an excellent and very popular solution.
ESSENTIAL OIL DIFFUSERS
This type of diffuser is able to release the molecules of volatile substances into the air without a carrier. Their effect is intense, which makes them a quick and distinctive fragrance experience. However, the other side of this efficiency is that we have to pay attention to the atomization time, so as not to overdo it and release more aroma into the air than we actually want. Due to the high price of the devices, beginners and fragrance lovers with modest financial means usually do not choose an atomizer, but this is still perhaps the cleanest and most effective type of diffuser.
ULTRASONIC AIR FRESHENERS
This is probably the most popular type. As the name suggests, these devices use ultrasound to atomize essential oils dropped into their water tanks into the air. Their great advantage is that they gently and coldly humidify the air (which can be important and recommended in winter, during viral times, and in summer, due to the intensive use of air conditioners, in order to preserve our health). They can be used even in larger interior spaces (depending on the performance of the diffuser), their operation is quiet, and they are now available in good quality at an affordable price. As for design, we are faced with an almost endless choice: such a diffuser can be a perfect addition to any style of home. We just have to find the one we like.
The same is true for the entire world of diffusers, as we have seen that there are a multitude of solutions available to us, from small and large spaces, for therapeutic or purely atmospheric purposes, adjustable or automatic, with or without a carrier, if we want to plunge into the magical world of essential oils and home fragrance. We encourage everyone to become a fragrance lover as soon as possible! And perhaps the best tool for this is an excellent diffuser.
